5 Things to Know When Renting with HomeInZagreb

We are one of the first agencies in Zagreb specializing in international student accommodation, with more than 15 years of experience working with students coming for exchange, internships, and longer stays.

In this guide, we explain what you can expect when renting with us and how the process works.

All apartments are verified

We visit all properties in our offer, communicate directly with landlords, and create our own photos, videos, and 360° tours whenever possible.

This means you can see the apartment as it actually is before booking, without relying on outdated or misleading listings.

Our goal is to make sure that every property meets a certain standard in terms of equipment, location, and overall condition.

We understand our clients

Over the years, we have worked with a large number of international students, which helped us understand what matters most when renting in a new city.

We know that the process can feel unfamiliar, especially if you are arranging everything from abroad, which is why we try to keep everything as clear and simple as possible.

During your stay, we remain available if any issues come up, so you are not left to handle things on your own.

Location matters

All properties in our offer are selected based on specific criteria, with location being one of the most important ones.

Most apartments are close to public transport, universities, or the city center, making daily life easier and more practical. At the same time, we aim to offer different options depending on your budget and preferences.

Basic equipment is included

Apartments vary in size, layout, and location, but they follow a general equipment standard.

In most cases, this includes kitchen equipment, Wi-Fi, and essential furniture. Bed linen and towels are usually provided as well, although this can vary depending on the apartment.

We make sure all details are clearly communicated in advance, so you know exactly what is included.

Local support

Since we are based in Zagreb, we can help with practical questions that come up during your stay.

This includes basic guidance on accommodation registration, getting an OIB, using public transport, or navigating the city.

We are also familiar with different neighbourhoods and universities. This helps us recommend options based on your budget and where you study.

Final note

Renting an apartment in a new city can feel unfamiliar at first, especially if you are moving abroad for the first time. Our goal is to make the process clear and transparent, so you know what to expect from the beginning!
